Introduction To Java Programming Language.


Java is Object Oriented Programming Language.

It was developed for small embedded applications like television set up boxes.




 James Gosling, Patrick Naughton , and Mike Sheridan who were initiated the Java language project in June 1991 in Sun Microsystems. 

Its first extension was .gt as the name is called as GreenTalk, after that it was called as Oak.

Time magazine called Java one of the Ten Best Products of 1995.

In 1995, Oak was renamed as "Java"  before they are releasing the first version JDK 1.0 in 1996.

Java Terminology

JVM:  Java Virtual Machine  which interrupts the byte code one instruction at a time which is generated by the compiler.

JRE: Java Run time Environment, it set of programming tool to develop the Java applications.

         JRE provides the core classes and supporting  library for execution of the application. JRE is a part of JDK

JDK: Java Development Kit, it is program development environment for java applications. It consist of JRE
